The zombies are at rest while the vampires dress to impress. The very first vampire begins on the 30th October, are you ready, join the Facebook group and let us know. As many of you know we have attempted breaking the world record for number of Zombies a few times and failed due to registration. The number to break is now so huge we cant fit that many zombies in our location... SO... this Halloween Weekend, we will be attempting the world record for Number of VAMPIRES in one place. I know many of you are hard core Zombie fans, but I think Zombie-Aid holding at least one horror themed record is worth dressing as a vampire. (plus a Vampire is technically dead, so basically a zombie with style)

A big thank you to all who submitted your short films. The quality was excellent... better than some big budget zombie flicks!!! Sadly only three could make the final. Hunger, Guys Guide to Zombies and Red Harvest were the three finalists. Here is what Kim Newman had to say.....

Kim Newman comments:

"I was impressed with the standards of the finalists. After some deliberation, I'm selecting Guy's Guide to Zombies as the winner - nice retro-look, clever animation, a feel for worldbuilding and a sense of irony.Hunger had a good emotional throughline, and Red Harvest was well-made. All round, well done. I hope zombies and other charities benefit from the contest.
Best, Kim Newman"

Finalists:

  • Guy's Guide To Zombies - The Austin Brothers

  • Red Harvest - Matthew Faggiani

  • Hunger - Daniel Walker
